To be honest, I kind of liked the checkered floors - but this client had a different vision, and I have to say, it turned out beautifully.

Hard to believe this is the same bathroom. Added square footage, changed the layout, added a larger window and updated the finishes.

In a small kitchen, open shelving isn't very functional. But you don't have to sacrifice style for function. Swipe to see the "functional" side of the kitchen. The amount of groceries and other kitchen items behind those doors is remarkable - Including a microwave, blender, toaster and juicer all plugged in ready to go.

I get the opportunity to work with a lot of great designers. I also work with homeowners who have their own vision for their bathroom or kitchen. But this is been my passion project for way longer than I want to admit. My kitchen; completely designed and executed by Jasmine and I. We used products that we either grew to love or became curious about and thought we would take a chance. We splurged in some areas and saved in others using products from Café Appliances, Cle Tile, IKEA, Semi Handmade, Hallmark Floors and Portola Paints.
So happy about how it turned out and that my marriage is still intact.

There are plenty of people who agree that you should never paint (or in this case lime wash) over brick. I do what the homeowner (or designer) wants. But I have to say, I like how this one turned out. The masonry needed repair but the lime wash and paint, new bluestone walkway and a modern front door completely updated this home.
